From the immediate post-war period through to the late 1960s, it is the firm of surveyor Giuseppe Lubatti that traces the group’s path, building around 500 apartments and several hotels in Piedmont, in Frabosa and Mondovì (Cuneo). Building on the operations completed previously, in the 1970s the firm focuses primarily on public contracts, also taking on the construction of numerous electrical and telephone substations. The interest in building for important private companies nonetheless remains alive, such as the Fiat plant in Mondovì, the Banca Battaglia — also in Mondovì — and the Industria Chimica Legno factory in San Michele.
In the late 1980s, surveyor Giuseppe Lubatti moves to Liguria and is joined by his son Gianni. Together they complete the restructuring of the tourist village Conca Verde, which had belonged to the family since the 1960s — 120 small villas straddling the provinces of Savona and Imperia, between the municipalities of Andora and Cervo, with over 150 garages and parking spaces.
A jewel perched above the sea, with a tennis court, two swimming pools and a private beach, as well as commercial amenities including a bar and minimarket, a restaurant and a nightclub.
In Tunisia the group maintained a constant presence especially in the early 1990s, with several achievements — the most eye-catching of which is undoubtedly the Hotel Touareg in Douz, at the gates of the Saharan desert: 12,000 sqm of covered space, 125 rooms and 315 beds, completed in 22 months between 1992 and 1994. In the immediately following years, in collaboration with the Groupe Camille Rayon of Golf Juan (France), the full project for the construction of the Port Yasmine marina in Hammamet was developed — a tourist port with an adjoining village, designed with a study of marine currents and boat moorings, for which our group was appointed as commercialisation agent in Europe.
Already advanced in the 1970s with the construction of the Pauledda village, the group’s presence in northern Sardinia is further intensified, particularly in Costa Paradiso (an auspicious name), where several small terraced villa complexes are built, riding the wave of the residential development that encompasses over 2,000 properties — villas and apartments — nestled among nature and red granite rocks.
In 2011, with the boom in the alternative energy sector driven by state incentives, the group enters the renewable energy market, obtaining the necessary permits and acting as General Contractor to build a 780 kWp photovoltaic plant in Sardinia, at Uras (OR). The plant is completed in record time and qualifies for third-account energy access. For several years the group also holds a stake in a joint venture with Enerpoint Spa of Nova Milanese, one of the leading companies in the renewable energy sector, until the full transfer of shares in 2018 to Equiter Energia Srl, a company of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group.
In June 2012, after more than a year of negotiations, the acquisition of the Calarossa Village business unit from the French group Pierre & Vacances SA is finalised: over 430 apartments with a maximum capacity of around 1,800 guests, a services centre with reception, boutiques, minimarket, kids’ club, entertainment, two bars, a restaurant, three swimming pools and a private beach. The village is managed until 2018.
